Empowering the Next Generation of Cancer Care

In 2021, SCORI was established by Raivath Mukherjee, driven by personal experiences witnessing the impact of cancer on his friends and family. Identifying a notable absence of cancer education and risk mitigation information within his school community, the initiative, then a school club, was formed.
The initiative's early focus centered on cancer education, awareness, and hands-on learning experiences. This was manifested through oncology panel discussions, educational forums, and unique collaborations with like-minded healthcare and nonprofit organizations. The enthusiastic response to these educational endeavors led to significant growth within the group.
By 2024, the initiative evolved into a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization while maintaining its core mission of providing accessible and high-quality experiential learning, awareness campaigns, and educational initiatives. Its multifaceted approach encompasses biological, vocational, and humanitarian perspectives on cancer education.
These foundational principles serve as the compass for SCORI as it embarks on a new trajectory, uniting students across educational levels in their shared dedication to empowering the next generation of advocates in the fight against cancer.
